She must have passed by that place more than a hundred times in her eighteen years of living in Singapore. But, never did she once reminisce the moments she spent there during her weekends while in her childish ages. Today, she embraced Clarke Quay, hoping to recollect some of her lost childhood memories behind her camera lens and maybe cry shamelessly in front of strangers. It was evident by the solemn expression her face wore that day.

Behind the zooming fast traffic, along Eu Tong Sen Street, she stared straight ahead at the bridge where she used to stroll with her parents to get across to Liang Court. There was where Daimaru, her favourite stationary store, used to be. She used to buy the cute little colour pens and notebooks they sold, especially the metallic inked ones which she used to own at least twenty different colours.

As she braced herself to get onto the bridge without having to start tearing already, she spotted a boy of not younger than six-year-old posing like a pro kid model while his rather-round dad professionally, yet gladly and in betwen laughters, snapped photographs with his Nikon DSLR. She smiled without realising that it was odd to do so when you're alone. She scanned her surrounding and was relieved about no one noticed her rather weird behaviour.

She continued her walk on the bridge while capturing some of the still images of Clarke Quay. She has mostlybeen there at night and have seen the many different colours of Clarke Quay: the lights, the people, the culture. She had already experienced all that. Though she has been there during the day too, she tended to ignore her surrounding and just complete the errand that brought her there. So for the first time she realised that Clarke Quay is beautiful in the day too.

Then she thought about the reason that made her smile so widely when she spotted the kid and his dad. It has been a long while since she had smiled so wide from within her heart. She realised, she was smiling at their innocence. We used to do that together. Will they end up like us?

In a hope to banish that thought, she busied herself with furiously clicking the button of her camera.

Soon, she reached the entrance (or rather the side entrance) of Liang Court. The picture of the old entrance before the renovation was still fresh and vivid in her mind, like as if she had seen it there just yesterday. When we were happy together. When I knew how happiness felt like...

After what felt like ages of watching movies in front of my lappy and television, I got to watch a movie on the big screen last night for free. YAY to Yani! LOL. We watched Doomsday and it was one hell of a movie.

The storyline was straightforward: A country (Scotland) was infected with a deadly contagious disease, so London not wanting to spread it, sealed the country with steel doors and put all the people of Scotland in the danger of being killed by the virus named Reaper. But, one girl managed to get out of the country with the help of some nice-but-not-hot-looking soldiers. After about 30 years, this girl (last name's Sinclair) is shown as a major, who is going to head a group of specialists to retrieve some sorts of antidote from the "no man's land" because apparently London has somehow caught Reaper and is spreading "like a rapid forest fire". So, Sinclair and five other officials go on a journey to their "Doomsday" without knowing what to expect. And what they saw there is certainly not what I expected.

Things I expected:
1. Abandoned streets : checked
2. Dead infected bodies : partly checked
3. Cannibal : checked

Things I didn't expect:
1. Narnia kind of setting in the country area of Scotland
2. Too many survivors
3. Beautiful green sceneries like as if there was no such thing as a deadly virus spread in that country. "Reaper? What's that?"
4. Cows? Lots of those in fact.
5. A girl that went "What's that?" when she saw a oh-so-cool car. (I mean she should know what's that since they were shut off from the world when cars were still around. It is dumb.)
6. Way too many survivors.

I can go on about how absurd the whole plot became after they entered the "no man's land" (which was so not true). But, thankfully, it was packed with comedy, actions and just-perfect-for-the-situation thrills. It is an entertaining movie to watch for, like once. I'd never pay to watch this movie. Maybe one very bad point of the movie was the many unanswered questions it left me with, like why Sinclair decided to stay there and seriously, why that girl was surprised by the existence of a car. And, I really hated those camera shots that gave me a slight headache after some time. These shots were especially used in the action scenes. The action was really good though, but I've seen better ones, like in Triple X and SWAT. Comedy-wise, gosh, the movie should be watched for its absurdity. Too many surprises that made me go "OMG!". Yani asked me how I will describe the movie in a sentence: "The movie should be watched for its absurdity." Like seriously.

And, Yani and myself shared a little special night walk together along Orchard Road after all the excitement and shrieking like high school girls in the preview theatre.

On a totally different note, I was greeted with three voice mails from James when I reached home. I mean the matter was pretty serious, but not so serious as to leave such messages on my voice mail. He sounded as if someone was trying to rape him or something. Not that that will ever happen...

Oh gosh, Four weeks of internship has passed so fast. And, I'm still unclear about my future plan. That can be quite scary. Sometimes, I just want to 'go with the flow', but won't that mean that I've lost to fate? Oh well, that was some random ranting.

Leah Dizon - I can spend the whole day listening to her songs! My current obsession is Leah Dizon and Thelma Aoyama. Both have soulful voices.

For the record, I've sustained a whole of 2 days without any Japanese shows. That's pretty sad. But, I can't get my Bitorrent to work! My computer is like superbly screwed up and I don't want to download using my lappy. So, I'm caught in a dilemma which leaves me feeling like a drug addict who can't live without his daily dosage of drugs. Just that this time it is not drugs, but Japanese dramas. Ah! I want to get my hands on Last Friends Episode 1! Oh my Nishikido Ryo.

I'd better fix the problem before next week comes. More dramas are going to be out next week! Namely Zettai Kareshi (oh my Mizushima Hiro!) and Gokusen 3.

Ah, I've yet to get around completing my articles and I've to attend an event tomorrow. Ah, so not looking forward for the weekend to end this fast.

LALALA. Old icons actually. I haven't been producing new ones. Gosh, I just realised that I spent the whole of last night anf today reading 'Worst' manga. That one is super addictive, I tell you. Tsukishima Hana is cute! I mean, his character. Ah, it'll be so nice to have someone so sweet around you the whole day. He's a sweet tough guy. *dreams*

LOL. Yes, another icon madness. Gosh, maybe I am addicted to it. But it can be really pressurising sometimes because the end result might differ from my initial thought. Oh wells, just to wild away my time and make me happy, I do this.

Yup, the first intern mistake. It is a really dumb one actually. But, oh well, what was done was done. Time to laugh it off and get on with life. After all, I don't have all the time in the world to worry about something so trivial.

Ah, and I realise how much I miss this lappy as I am typing on its keypad. So much better than the office computer. If only I am allowed to use this lappy in the office, seriously, I don't mind lugging this to work every day, even though the bus will be super crowded.

I have a love-hate relationship with weekends.

And my current obsession is Leah Dizon. Her voice is just so enviable. I like 'Missing' and 'Unmei-san'.
